Dr. Petro is a licensed psychologist who specializes in therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. She has expertise in treating mood, social, and behavioral problems including anxiety, depression, trauma, family conflict, relationship issues, and ADHD. Dr. Petro earned her bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in religion from Emory University. She earned her master's and doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University in Atlanta with a specialization in Child and Family Clinical Practice. Dr. Petro completed her internship at the Vanderbilt VA Internship Consortium in Nashville, TN with primary rotation in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and a second rotation at Vanderbilt University Psychological and Counseling Center. Her postdoctoral fellowship was completed at the Child Abuse Research, Education, and Services (CARES) Institute in Stratford, NJ. Dr. Petro has provided clinical trainings on Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for the National Child Traumatic Stress Network and CARES Institute.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Petro enjoys spending time with her husband, four children, extended family, and friends.

I approach therapy with the utmost respect for individual differences, cultural backgrounds, religious beliefs, and social experiences. I utilize an integrative, individualized treatment approach, drawing from cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal, and family systems theories. My approach to treatment is to assist clients in identifying and developing personal treatment goals and plan treatment toward successful achievement of these goals. I strive to empower clients to make changes that will enhance their lives. I have an expertise in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, an evidence-based treatment, used to process past experiences, gain insight, and make changes that will enhance your quality of life. TF-CBT helps people heal, so they can develop more connected relationships and live in the present.

Greenville Psychology is located in Overlook Executive Park at 109 Laurens Road, Building 4, Suite D, Greenville, SC 29607. Once you enter the building, our waiting room will be through the door on your right.
At Greenville Psychology, we offer individual therapy for ages 2 and up. Sessions are available in-person and online providing a secure and easy-to -use platform.
Greenville Psychology does not submit claims to insurance. A "super bill" or statement of services with diagnostic and billing codes is provided. You may choose to submit super bills to your insurance as it is possible that services may be covered in part by your health insurance by using your out-of-network benefits.
48 hours advanced notice is requested to change or cancel appointment. A minimum of 24 hours notice of cancellation is required. Appointments cancelled less than 24 hours before the appointment will be billed at the full rate.
